Application Deadline (for both): Friday, May 30, 2025 at 4 p.m. EDT

Please note: This form is for individuals, groups, and organizations participating in or performing at Canada Day 2025. If you are looking to sell food or beverages, or be part of the artisanal market please go to the event page: peterborough.ca/CanadaDay and complete the appropriate form.

All applicants will be notified of their application status by Monday, June 9, 2025.

Insurance Requirements

All participants and performers are required to provide proof of insurance coverage to participate in this event. You may choose from the following options:

Option 1: Provide Your Own Insurance Certificate

You may provide a Certificate of Insurance with a minimum of $5 million in general liability coverage. It must name The Corporation of the City of Peterborough as both the Certificate Holder and Additional Insured, and include 10 days’ notice of cancellation to: 500 George St. N., Peterborough, ON K9H 3R9. The certificate must describe the event (including date, location, and your activity), and include:

Broker info, policy number, and term
Type: General Liability
Named Insured (must match applicant)
Event setup/tear-down dates and times
Signed by the broker
Cross liability clause
Issued by an insurer licensed in Ontario

Certificates must be submitted at least 20 days before the event.

Option 2: Purchase Insurance Through Instant Risk Coverage

If you do not have insurance, you may purchase one-time coverage through the City’s third-party provider.
